After paging through a book at a library, while waiting on my grandchildren to meet me for other business, I looked up where to buy Rowan yarns in my area.

As I searched the Rowan site for these shops, I realized that some of my fellow fiber artists have a great sense of humor along with their fiber-leaning creativity.

I decided to highlight my Top 10 favorite yarn shop names from the Rowan yarn site.

I like these names because they made me smile or chuckle as I thought of the possible inspiration for each name, and simply liked the departure from “the usual” – if there even is such a thing.

I’ve not visited any of these shops yet, but hope that I’ll find myself in their neighborhoods sometime soon, so I can enjoy the experience, along with the unique names.
